The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Tasmania Inc presents
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
This new musical, written by Carl Lawton and Louella Jury, premiered in December 2016 to a sell-out season. With a spectacular new set, stellar cast and augmented score, this show will be something special.
Pride and Prejudice, charts the emotional development of the protagonist, Elizabeth Bennet, who learns the error of making hasty judgements and comes to appreciate the difference between the superficial and the essential. The comedy of the writing lies in the depiction of manners, education, and marriage and money in the British Regency, and is still well loved today.
